Mangion, Mangion and Partners is seeking to recruit suitable persons to form part of a team to monitor and manage large scale projects for the following posts:

Senior Architect / Project Manager:
The role will entail the following:

  • Briefing and development of brief.
  • Setting up of a project team and procurement strategy.
  • Preliminary design.
  • Design development and preparation of production information.
  • Handling the tendering process including prequalification, issuing and evaluation of tenders and reporting thereon.
  • Project planning.
  • Site supervision and management.
  • Conclusion of project including final certification and accounts.
  • Feedback process.



He will report directly to the partners and liaise with other members of the design team and with outside consultants. The applicant will have a degree in architecture and civil engineering and a warrant to practice as such in Malta. The applicant will be expected to have at least five to ten years relevant experience.


Quantity Surveyor
The role will entail the following:

  • Preparation of initial Cost Plans.
  • Preparation of preliminary estimates of cost including: taking off quantities from drawings, assessment of rates for works.
  • Preparation of detailed bills of quantities by trade including pricing at current rates.
  • Preparation of tender documents, issuing tenders and evaluating tenders submitted.
  • Drawing up of monthly valuations for payments to contractors including site measurement of constructed work.
  • Evaluating claims for extras and variations.
  • Preparation of final accounts
  • Feedback to cost data base and maintenance thereof. ack


He will report to the Section Head and will assist and liaise with other members of the design team. He may also be expected to carry out basic land surveying and draughting related to his work. The candidate should ideally have a B.Sc in Quantity Surveying or at least a diploma and 3 years relevant experience in Civil Engineering Projects and he is expected to be familiar with SMM7, CESMM3 and FIDIC forms of contract.


Assistant Quantity Surveyor
The role will entail the following:

  • General assistance to the Quantity Surveyor.
  • Taking off quantities from drawings.
  • Preparation of schedules.
  • Preparation of detailed bills of quantities by trade.
  • Assistance in the preparation of tender documents.
  • Site measurement of constructed work.


He will report to the Senior QS and will assist and liaise with other members of the design team. He may also be expected to carry out basic land surveying and draughting related to his work. The candidate should ideally have a Diploma in Quantity Surveying or at least 3 years relevant experience in Civil Engineering Projects and to have a basic knowledge of SMM7.
